Starting September 2022, it’s possible to kick-start your career as an Electrical Engineer with a unique training program at Shell. As an electrical graduate, you’ll join a three-year traineeship that offers talented individuals a comprehensive introduction to various areas of Shell’s business and operations.

You'll solve various challenges: working on new Energies business; integrating new sustainable sources of energy; designing and managing and maintaining safe and reliable power systems for our new and existing assets. You give advice and pro-active support to the SNC plants in maintenance, inspection and reliability activities. You’ll play a key role in successful project delivery and work alongside fellow creative thinkers, problem solvers and innovators. Shell and Brunel have been collaborating for many years, so we'll ensure that you constantly develop your expertise and abilities.
What we bring to the table:
- A three-year training program with career perspective at Shell (Moerdijk of Pernis);
- A wide-ranging curriculum with several hard and soft skill courses during the three years, given by Shell, external companies and Brunel, such as;
- Solar and Battery storage
- NEN 3140 & NEN 3840 High Voltage
- Power Electronics
- NEN1010 course
- Material Awareness - Dutch language courses
- A 40-hour work week, training and courses will be done during working hours. All hours spent in a (digital) “classroom” are considered working hours;
- A starting salary of €3,000,- per month for the first year, €3,500,- per month for the second year, €4,000,- per month for the third year;
- For internationals: a dedicated Specialized Staffing department that handles your relocation and ensures you have a soft landing in the Netherlands, helping you with accommodation, formalities and appointments;

What you bring to the table
- A completed Electrical Engineering Bachelor/Master;
- Willing to move to the Netherlands (Rotterdam area);
- Proficient in English language;
- Willing to learn Dutch;
- Eager to develop in Electrical Engineering at Shell;
- Good communication skills;
