Introduction

Brunel are currently recruiting for a Shutdown Process Engineer to provide engineering support for our clients major shutdown operations. This is a Perth based role with travel to site during the execution phase.

What are you going to do 

Responsibilities include:

  • Work in a team to provide an Engineering interface between the Shutdown Team and Perth based Frontline and Strategic Engineering team.
  • Support shutdown scope challenge and prioritisation, review of shutdown work packs that require engineering sign-off and deliver technical support to facilitate execution of shutdown including return to service within planned durations.
  • Lead and support the development of plans for third party vendor services including nitrogen provision and decontamination.
  • Provide offshore representation of the Engineering support teams, understand and seek out concerns raised by Operations technicians related to engineering processes.
  • Responsible for the timely action and closure of Audit Actions, Notifications, Deviations, and Change Requests
  • Comply with Temporary MOC assurance and monitoring tasks.
  • Execute assurance activities as defined by the Assurance Plan.
  • Identify & implement improvement opportunities to reduce inconsistency in recovery and restart durations and reduce overall duration.
  • Responsible for contributing to Shutdown related RBI, HAZOP and Risk Assessments.
  • Challenge requirement for non-value-added activities, include SAA's, Maint Plans and Items.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements:

  • Oil & Gas experience essential, preferably in offshore operations.
  • Knowledge of production processes, procedures and practices.
  • Knowledge of Maintenance and Integrity Assurance and Maintenance Discipline.
  • Experience with maintenance planning and execution systems.
  • Experience working with third party vendors and service providers.
