Technical Support: Provide technical clarifications, review vendor documentation, and support other engineering disciplines as needed. Collaboration: Work closely with Supply Chain, Estimation, Planning, and other project teams to achieve project goals. Regulatory Liaison: Liaise with classification societies, regulators, and clients for document submissions and resolution of comments. Offshore Support: Offer technical support and troubleshooting to offshore units as required. Educational Background: Master’s degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience may also be considered. Industry Experience: A minimum of 10 years in the shipping and offshore industry, including at least 3-5 years of experience in the FPSO EPC sector. The Electrical Technician performs mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.ROLE CONTRIBUTIONTo complete Mechanical Completion, Pre-commissioning, and Commissioning activities in accordance with the project completion plan and schedule, the Electrical Technician should: Understand their roles and responsibilities and ensure compliance. Comprehend the project completion execution plan from the Discipline Lead Technician. Familiarize with the Notification of Energization (NOE) Flow Chart. Fully understand System Drawings and Walk Down procedures. Complete a Daily Report to provide clear visibility to the Discipline Lead Technician. Attend the Daily Discipline Toolbox Talk to understand daily activities. Perform Mechanical Completion Activities (‘A’ Scope ITRs) in close cooperation with the construction team, ensuring compliance with project drawings and specifications. Conduct Pre-commissioning Activities (‘B’ Scope ITRs) in line with vendor documentation and specifications. Support the Operation Test Procedure (OTP) under the supervision of the Discipline Lead Technician. Perform commissioning of electrical systems and equipment, carrying out fault-finding and repair activities as required, in full compliance with the Company Permit-to-Work system and the Company Electrical Group Safety Rules. Attend the Daily Discipline Toolbox Talk to eliminate any hazards and negative environmental impacts. Maintain and develop an open communication link with other discipline teams. Ensure full compliance with the Company Group Electrical Safety Rules and/or local Yard Safety Regulations. Utilize specific tools and test equipment for system commissioning in a safe, competent, and correct manner. Maintain control and monitor the continued good condition and validity of company tools and test equipment.
