What are you going to do

Brunel is currently working with a large Oil and Gas producer, seeking a Field Operator for their operations in the Northwest Territories. This is a 12 month contract position, on a 14x14 rotation, FIFO from Edmonton, Alberta.

Job Responsibilities:

Ensuring safe and efficient operation of field facilities including production wells, injection wells, and gathering facilities.
Diagnosing and troubleshooting operational issues with production and injection wells; reporting findings to the Field Optimization Specialist.
Optimizing facility profitability and promptly responding to operational upsets.
Proactively identifying and resolving problems to prevent escalation.
Performing isolation, lockout, and zero-energy procedures for field facility maintenance activities.
Promoting and maintaining a safe work environment throughout field operations.

Essential skills and knowledge

Skills and Qualifications:

Completed secondary education with previous experience as a Field Technician.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong commitment to Safety, Health, and Environment practices, and capable of fostering these values in others.
Proficient in pipeline operations and familiar with safety and operations management tools and processes.
Knowledgeable in Emergency Preparedness Procedures and Project Philosophy and Design Specifications.
Familiar with relevant regulations and commercial agreements.
