What are you going to do 

We have a current opportunity for a HSE Coordinator on a contract basis. The position will be a 2x2 rotation with camp provided. For further information about this position please apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • HSE Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and local laws related to health, safety, and environmental practices during drilling and completions operations.

  • Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits, identifying potential hazards and implementing corrective measures to mitigate risks.

  • Training and Development: Develop and deliver HSE training programs for field personnel to promote awareness and adherence to safety practices and protocols.

  • Incident Investigation: Lead investigations of safety incidents and near-misses, documenting findings, and recommending improvements to prevent recurrence.

  • Reporting: Prepare and submit regular HSE reports, including incident reports, safety performance metrics, and compliance documentation to management.

  • Emergency Response: Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans and drills to ensure preparedness for potential incidents.

  • Field Inspections: Conduct regular field inspections to monitor compliance with HSE standards, providing guidance and support to operational teams.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with drilling and completions teams to foster a culture of safety, encouraging open communication and proactive safety practices.

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry best practices and regulations, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in HSE performance.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field is an asset.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE coordination
  • Previous experience within drilling and completions operations.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, risk assessment methodologies, and incident investigation techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence personnel at all levels.
  • Certification in HSE (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HSE management software.
