Introduction

We are seeking a highly motivated HSE Advisor to support our client's Phase 2a and Phase 2c Project teams. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading energy company on exciting projects.

This role will provide HSE leadership, guidance, and support to the Phase 2a and Phase 2c Project teams and EPCI Contractors, ensuring the safe execution of project scopes and offering related HSE advice as needed.

What are you going to do 

Occupational Health & Safety:

  • Provide expert HSE advice and guidance to project teams.
  • Support and coach contractors to ensure compliance with HSE-MS policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Conduct HSE assurance activities, including audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
  • Lead the development and delivery of HSE training, inductions, and presentations.
  • Oversee the implementation of HSE initiatives and ensure continuous improvement in HSE performance.

Compliance & Reporting:

  • Ensure full compliance with the company's HSE Management System.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports.
  • Review and analyze incident reports, developing action plans to mitigate risks.
  • Participate in HAZID workshops and contribute to risk management strategies.

Leadership & Support:

  • Act as an HSE leader and coach, promoting safe work practices and the company's commitment to safety.
  • Facilitate HSE meetings, toolbox talks, and pre-start sessions.
  • Monitor contractors and suppliers to ensure adherence to safety regulations and project requirements.

Offshore Support:

  • Provide HSE coverage and support during offshore execution phases, ensuring risks are managed, and work activities adhere to safety standards.
  • Escalate any HSE issues to the appropriate manager or team lead.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements:

  • Tertiary/Diploma/Technical Safety Qualifications
  • Lead OHS Auditor
  • Trained "Root Cause" Investigator in a recognized RCA methodology, e.g., Tap Root (preferred)
  • HSE experience in an offshore/oil and gas position
  • HSE experience in an onshore LNG plant
  • Experience managing contractors
  • Experience developing and rolling out HSEMS documentation and programs
  • Experience facilitating and administering core HSE risk management tools
  • Experience developing HSE documentation to support Contractor Management requirements
  • Strong interpersonal skills in influencing and teamwork
