Introduction

Brunel is partnering with a global, tier 1 EPC contractor to help build the project team on an iconic renewable energy project just outside of Melbourne. This role is key to the commercial controls team on-site and works closley with the project manager to ensure compliance with procurement and controls focussed on the electrical component of the project.
The project is one of the largest of it's type in Australia and will help firm the Victorian electrical grid for years to come.

What are you going to do 

As the electrical quality advisor on site you will be responsible for supportiung and guiding the subcontractors and suppliers on meeting quality standards in-line with ISO 9001 as well as the client's expectations on the electrical package of works.

You will play a key role in maintaining and monitoring compliance as well as proactively seeking improvment of project management systems and document management as well as assisting the quality manager with developing and implementing the project QMP.

Assist the QM with developing and implementing quality audits as well as monitoring NCRs for trends and identify, assess and control non-conforming works, materials or products.

Essential skills and knowledge 

• Electrical engineering backgroud• Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certifiation desired but not necessary
• Minimum 7 years of construction experience with energy projects a plus• Previous experience in a similar role with quality management systems, planning techniques and tools.
• Awareness of relevant Australian and International standards, both technical and those related to management systems.• Good communication, consultation, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Solid relationship building and high-level writing skills.• Good presentation skills with ability to demonstrate and train others.
