For our European client we are looking for a skilled Development Engineer Customer IT to join their team in Zhuhai. In this role, you will play a critical part in integrating customer-specific IT systems into the current and next-generation electric vehicle. This position requires close collaboration with our engineering teams based in the Netherlands, as well as with our manufacturing partner in Zhuhai.
For our European client we are looking for a skilled Development Engineer Customer IT to join their team in Zhuhai. In this role, you will play a critical part in integrating customer-specific IT systems into the current and next-generation electric vehicle. This position requires close collaboration with our engineering teams based in the Netherlands, as well as with our manufacturing partner in Zhuhai.
Your impact for our client:
* You will provide technical support during the production process, including the ability to investigate and resolve technical errors in IT systems. You should also be capable of installing prototype parts into physical vehicles as needed. * You will collaborate with IT and engineering teams to integrate key customer-specific IT systems, such as payment solutions, passenger counting systems, LED screens, and back-office software, into our electric vehicles.
* You will create detailed electrical diagrams of IT equipment according to both customer and manufacturer specifications. You will specify in 3D the IT harnesses for assigned projects, ensuring all designs meet the highest standards.* You will develop comprehensive harness drawings based on the created electrical diagrams, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and aligns with project requirements.
* You will conduct reviews to ensure that all IT-related components meet quality standards and comply with regulations in the automotive sector.* You will drive innovation and continuous improvement in IT integration processes, fostering a culture of excellence in integrating advanced technology into the EV ecosystem.
The ideal candidate:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
* Proven experience (3-5 years) in a Electrical or Software engineering, with a focus on wiring, IoT, and electrical systems; experience in the automotive sector is a plus.* Expertise in integrating IT systems into vehicles, including familiarity with wiring harnesses and embedded systems.
* Strong understanding of IoT and its applications in transportation.* Familiarity with automotive quality standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
* Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers. Fluent English language skills (writing and speaking) is a must. * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with attention to detail.
