Functieomschrijving

You will be instrumental in advancing the development of innovative milk and cream foaming appliances. One such example is a revolutionary milk foaming system incorporating patented membrane technology. By combining technical expertise with a deep understanding of customer and consumer needs, and working closely with marketing, procurement, and supply chain teams, you will bring uniquely integrated packaging and dispensing appliance concepts to market. Your involvement spans the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept development to market implementation. As Lead Engineer in system development projects, you will ensure that newly developed foaming technologies and other appliance innovations are seamlessly integrated into new designs. Building strong, collaborative partnerships with appliance development partners is a key aspect of this role. Additionally, you will tackle challenging packaging development projects as part of your responsibilities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Creates together with marketing, innovation the next generation of Systems products.
  • Steers innovation-focused projects.
  • Orchestrates cross-functional collaboration, seamlessly merging design, engineering, and stakeholder input for integral solutions.
  • Ensure project adherence to scope, timeline, and quality, manage resources and mitigate risks, guaranteeing timely and effective delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Drive advancements and coordinate multifunctional efforts to develop cutting-edge technical solutions, enhancing user experiences and elevating the competitive edge.
  • Be the connector between the external manufacturing partners and Friesland Campina’s internal system experts.
  • Manage and mitigate project risks.

Vereisten

  • A Bachelor / Master degree, preferably in the area of System engineering or Mechanical engineering or Industrial Design.
  • Able to shape projects in a multidisciplinary team from concepts, sketches, business opportunities in to solid appliance concepts and designs.
  • At least 10 years experience in leading the technical projects in a relevant multidisciplinary systems context with external partners.
  • Proven track record in developing complex new products with electronical and mechanical components in the market, for either a B2C or a B2B environment.
  • Leveraging expertise in systems engineering, mechanical design, and manufacturing processes to drive innovative concept development and deliver high-quality, manufacturable solution.
  • You are able to motivate a multidisciplinary project team consisting of internal and external resources to successful results.
  • Skilled in project management and co-operation skills with different levels, both within the organization and outside the organization.
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skill. Ability to deal with ambiguity and stakeholder management.
  • Flexibility to travel regularly (20%).
