Introduction

  • Responsible as VMT for T&I Subsea execution activities.
  • To interface with Contractor on matters related to saturation, air diving and ROV scope of work
  • Supervise and monitor the contractor to ensure subsea operations activities are conducted safely and in compliance with contractual agreement and industry best standards
  • Provide Subsea construction technical support to the Shared Services Integrated T&I Organization & PMT
  • Intensive engagement with contractor’s installation team on work procedure development, constructability and activities risk assessment
  • Review and approve contractor Subsea related work procedure; diving, ROV, flexible installation, etc.
  • This position is offshore based; however, personnel are required to travel to CTR office and other worksite when requested by Shared resources & PMT
  • The personal may be assigned to project and as CSR onboard construction / diving vessel
  • Working in a challenging major project environment. Develop and maintain constructive and positive relationship with all project stakeholder personnel to achieved assigned goal.
  • Lead and promote safe delivery of construction activities within approved procedure and schedule
  • Assist with problem solving utilizing prior experience
  • Exhibits team leadership skills, integrity, self-confidence, fairness.
  • Main focal point on project subsea operation activities
  • Project subject matter point of contact for all Diving and ROV activities
  • Company focal point and team leader on Contractors Vessel when assigned as CSR.

What are you going to do 

  • Monitors contractor subsea operation performance including review of Contractors diving & ROV personnel certifications and qualifications, ensuring related approved specifications and procedures are followed.
  • Assist share resources team and PMT with planning, procedure review and technical support of matters involving diving and ROV operation.
  • Assist share resources team and PMT with planning, procedure review and technical support of matters involving Subsea installation, and flexible product installation.
  • Conducts ROVs spread, diving plant and equipment audits ensuring all relevant certification and audits are in date, and that any closeout actions from audits have been carried out.
  • Acts as the focal point between the operator and the contractor particularly for offshore SIMOPS and PTW interface.
  • Trained and qualified as COMPANY host for endorsing PTW
  • Promote COMPANY safety and quality expectations
  • Participates in the development of all work documents to ensure that all parties have a clear understanding of diving (SAT/Air) and ROV activities
  • Monitors the contractor offshore activities to ensure compliance with ROVs operation and diving legislation (SAT/Air), IOGP Diving recommended practice and industry best practices, such as IMCA.
  • Stewards in the management of change process and is the Company point of contact on the worksite for all site queries. / MOC
  • Responsible for the emergency response and incident reporting for DCIs and treatment protocols.
  • Undertakes daily walk-through observations of operational areas, to check on progress, safety and housekeeping.
  • Attend daily vessel progress meeting with contractor and PMT morning call
  • Ensures that any events evaluated during Risk assessment processes, or that are raised during safety meetings, are stewarded and closed prior to the start of each critical scope.
  • Keep detail dairy covering offshore activities and contribute to project lesson learnt program.
  • Participate in root cause investigation and incident investigation for diving and ROV activities
  • Be the accountable person for the safety, health, environment and security for all aspects of the execution of the work scope on the offshore vessels.
  • Oversee contractor diving and ROV documentation close out and reporting requirement.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Minimum 20 years experience in offshore commercial diving (Saturation & Air Diving) and ROV operation, of which at least 8 years as OCM / CSR onboard DP2 DSV and ROV support vessel.
  • Experience performing Diving System Assurance Audits to the IMCA D 023/24 standard and ROV System Assurance Audits to the IMCA R006
  • Broad knowledge on international ROV and diving standards and regulations.
  • Up to date knowledge on industry subsea installation and repair techniques.
  • Good experience with Cable / Umbilical lay installation from DP2 DSV / CSV
  • Broad knowledge of execution methods and risks associated with offshore greenfield and brownfield modifications and working within a gas production facility.
  • Sat & Air Diving Supervisor certification from the IMCA or equivalent
  • DMT certification and competency as client dive representative
  • OPITO approved BOSIET and Medical for offshore assignment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Good coordination, influencing and interface skills.
