Introduction

  • Interface Focal point for Pre-FEED and FEED activities followed by award.
  • Responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of all Onshore projects interfaces to enable projects to meet their timely execution by closely working with the PMT interface teams.
  • This includes internal and external interfaces.
  • Identify develop and steward closure of both External & internal Project Interfaces for Onshore Project.
  • Provide overall guidance and leadership with respect to the interfaces between Onshore Project, its FEED Contractor and other operating areas.
  • Responsible and accountable for the preparation of ITT package preparation.
  • Responsible for Pre Bid & Post Bid evaluations / clarifications until finalization of Contract.
  • Responsible for ensuring timely Operations evaluation and approval of interface agreements required by the onshore project Other Contractor for the Green field / brownfield tie-ins to piping, instrument and control systems, electrical systems and Telecom systems other existing operating assets including RLIC common area corridor routings.
  • Responsible for overall interface not limited to Engineering, Construction & Commissioning.
  • The position is dynamic and requires high commitment, discipline, facilitation and negotiating skills.
  • Operates in a multi-cultural and multi-national environment which requires professional conduct and proper office protocol.

What are you going to do 

  • Implements the Onshore Project Interface Management tool to coordinate and other Contractor activities for effectively managing and organizing physical interfaces.
  • Develop and maintain the Project's Interface Management Plan (IMP) for internal interfaces. The position is responsible for managing the interfaces between other Contractor and existing LNG operating assets.
  • Conduct interface management workshops with the Project Owners and Stakeholders to address physical interfaces and management processes.
  • Provides a single point of contact for information development and transfer between the Project and the LNG internal interfacing organizations.
  • Assures interfaces between the Project and the internal interfacing organizations are defined, developed and documented in a timely manner consistent with project needs.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
  • Must have 25 years minimum work experience as Interface Engineer or Project Engineer in Oil & Gas Industry preferably LNG.
  • Minimum of Ten (10) years of demonstrated supervisory
  • experience with demonstrated supervisory skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English at a high technical level.
  • Able to write Technical reports in English.
  • Able to work in multicultural environment.
  • Knowledge for elements and implementation or similar Industry accepted Project Management system.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with government agencies, contractors and vendors, in particular those involved in the construction of onshore facilities.
  • Valid Qatari Driving License (or eligible to apply)
  • Previous work experience with LNG Operations and / or is an advantage
  • Position currently based in, Doha. Position subject to relocation to Contractor’s Home Office with planned reporting location in Ras Laffan
  • Frequent International travel may be required.
  • A thorough knowledge of codes and standards in relation to site construction and working within a structured Quality Management System
  • Must be capable of positive decision-making & demonstrating a high level of judgement & responsibility
