Introduction

Brunel are currently seeking a Procurement Officer to join a global leader in design, engineering, and project management, known for their commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainability they operate across the globe on some of the largest projects in mining & Infrastructure.

We are seeking someone who is eager to join a dynamic project team and contribute to an exciting mining operation internationally while being based here in Brisbane.

What are you going to do 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in scheduling equipment contract packages and executing the procurement plan.
  • Participate in preparing detailed estimates and control budgets.
  • Prepare commercial terms and conditions for contracts and purchase orders.
  • Conduct surveys for local and international material/equipment availability.
  • Ensure compliance with client procurement policies and legal obligations.
  • Establish Quality Assurance methods and procedures.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines and maintain strong relationships with clients and suppliers.

Essential skills and knowledge 

More about you:

  • A minimum of 5 years' procurement experience with significant experience in mining projects
  • High-level negotiating skills and problem solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels both within and outside the organisation.
  • Experience working with Engineering, Construction, Project Management and other services.
