Introduction
- Transports mail materials and equipment between offices or departments within Company or to other establishments or delivery points inside Doha.
- Drives Corporation Vehicle and remains mobile most of his duty times to carry out the job.
- Observance of Road Safety Rules, safeguarding self and security of the important documents, materials handled from accident or loss.
- Uses safety shoes while performing duties (if necessary).
- Maintain confidentiality of the important documents.
- Plans and follows the most efficient routes for delivery of items during busy hours and makes necessary prioritization for the timely accomplishment of the tasks
- Occasionally carries out duties of other driver/messenger in case of absence, leave etc. in addition to the normal duties.
What are you going to do
- Transports documents and mails from offices, departments and mail rooms and delivers to various service points inside and outside the Corporation in and around Doha.
- Delivers messages and items such as documents and packages between corporation's departments and to other establishments
- Ensures that goods are loaded correctly, and precautions are taken with hazardous goods.
- Ensures that Delivery Notes, Gate Passes and Peon Book (or alternative) etc. are signed in by authorized persons and signed for by the receiving points.
- Drives Corporation vehicle to carry out their job and remains mobile most of the duty hours.
- Attends to request for delivery of items on priority basis and remains on Standby duty as advised by the Supervisor to carry out the delivery.
Essential skills and knowledge
- Elementary education with reading and writing of Arabic.
- English language basics as to understand instructions and follow them.
- Able to detect immediately in case of a vehicle breakdown.
- Familiar with the roads, location of government institutions, banks, etc.
- 6 months experience.
- Candidate to hold valid Qatar Driving License
