Receives incoming mail, in house magazines and clubs newsletters, sorts them and arranges to distribute them to entitled employees and departments.
Registers mails for local banks, courts, government departments and ministries on the peon books (or alternative) and sends through the messenger to the respective offices.
Receives incoming registers mails, checks and signs for acknowledgement and records them on the registers and ensures that they are collected by the respective Departments.
Ensures that all registered items are signed before they are released.
Ensures that mail for locations such as Dukhan, Mesaieed and Ras Laffan are sorted out, packed and sent out through the assigned driver at scheduled timings.
Items requiring acknowledgement like courier documents and registered parcels etc. are recorded in peon book (or alternative) and dispatched separately to ensure promptness of such deliveries.
Receives mails from concerned department and re-posts them for former employees to the address/destination provided.
Provides the monthly statistical data reflecting the volume of activities in the mail room to the concerned employee in the Section to be incorporated in the Monthly Report and follows up with Messengers for prompt and timely movement of Mail items.
Essential skills and knowledge
Completion of Secondary School education.
Bilingual, ability to read, write and speak Arabic and English
Minimum 2 years’ experience in handling similar responsibilities
