Are you ready to take your supply chain expertise to the next level? Join our dynamic clients Supply Chain team as a Supply Chain Commercial Specialist and play a pivotal role in driving strategic sourcing, contractor performance, and value optimisation.

This is a 12-month contract position based in Brisbane CBD.

What are you going to do 

As a Supply Chain Commercial Specialist, you will design and implement innovative sourcing strategies that align with our business goals and the local supplier market. This position offers a unique opportunity to manage strategic contracts for ongoing operations and major projects, including Brownfields and field expansion.

You will be responsible for:

  • Drive Goal Zero Aspiration through robust contractor safety management practices.
  • Design and improve supply chains, contracting strategies, and post-award management in collaboration with business partners.
  • Build a strong market network and identify upcoming supplier opportunities.
  • Develop category strategies, negotiate contracts, and adapt global strategies to local business needs.
  • Lead tendering processes, evaluate bids, and develop cost models to drive value.
  • Foster integrated ways of working across stakeholders and suppliers to achieve business outcomes.
  • Manage supplier relationships, encourage optimal behaviors, and eliminate waste.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Proven expertise in contract negotiations, tender evaluations, and supply chain management.
  • Strong ability to influence and integrate stakeholders, suppliers, and business functions.
  • SAP/Ariba proficiency for contract and procurement activities.
  • Experience in production contracts and a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills and a results-driven mindset.
