Introduction

Brunel are partnering alongside one of Australia's largest systems integrators to find an experienced Senior Control Systems Engineer to be part of our new team in Townsville. If you have a strong background in PLC and SCADA systems, and a 'Heavy industries' background we want to hear from you!

What are you going to do 

Tasks:

  • Collaborate with clients to define requirements and project scope.
  • Lead the design, development, implementation, and commissioning of high-quality control solutions.
  • Ensure all projects are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Provide ongoing support to clients' post-implementation.
  • Foster a culture of health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) within the team.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements:

  • 5 + years of experience in Control Systems Engineering within the Heavy Industries (mining, oil & gas utilities etc.)
  • Client-focused with excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in PLC/SCADA/DCS system design and development.
  • Knowledge of industrial communications and network design.
  • Experience with CitectSCADA and Schneider/Rockwell PLCs
  • Valid Australian Driving Licence
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field, or an Electrical Trade background.
  • Proven experience in designing and programming control systems.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement abilities.

After successfully making through the phone interview, a face to face interview will be scheduled between the candidate and recruiter. This session can be a more in-depth  interview to review your communication and interpersonal skills.
