We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our clients maintenance team! In this role, you will be primarily responsible for installing, repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining equipment on the production line. Additionally, you will ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of our VHP boiler room. What are you going to do 

Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to identify irregularities and malfunctions.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting devices (e.g., cranes, jacks, and tractors) to position machinery and parts during installation, setup, and repair.
  • Install, align, disassemble, and reposition stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces, and generators, following layout plans using hand and power tools.
  • Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubricating machinery.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, as well as programmable logic controls.
  • Operate machine tools (e.g., lathes and grinders) to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or setup of machinery.
  • Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Millwright or in a similar role in the food industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics.
  • Experience with machinery installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with power transmission, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts as required.
