What are you going to do 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design efforts for mechanical systems and plant layouts, offering strategic direction and technical supervision.
  • Work closely with project stakeholders to manage design workflows and deliverables effectively.
  • Create precise, industry-compliant designs in Microstation, maintaining a high standard of quality as well as streamlining existing designs wherever possible.
  • Support seamless project progress through strong team coordination and proactive problem-solving.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements:

  • 8+ years experience in mining with a key focus on mechanical design
  • Expertise in mechanical design, plant layout and optimisation including selecting materials, designing to specific load requirements, and integrating mechanical systems within a plant environment
  • High capability and user knowledge of Bentley Microstation is essential
  • Proven experience leading design teams with demonstratable experience/projects
  • Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent (mech)
  • Experience in Gold - highly regarded
