Introduction

We are currently seeking a highly skilled High Voltage Electrician to join our team at Brunel International, working on a 2:2 roster, with potential for permanency. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electric trucks for heavy mobile equipment such as Liebherr and CAT Diggers and Excavators, trucks for our valued client and leading iron ore producer.

What are you going to do 

As a High Voltage Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electric trucks for heavy mobile equipment and will undertake the following duties:

  • Conduct regular inspections of Liebherr electric trucks and diggers used in mining operations, identifying and addressing any electrical issues or maintenance requirements
  • Perform repairs on electrical components and systems of Liebherr electric trucks and diggers
  • Follow established procedures and safety protocols when conducting inspections and repairs on electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
  • Collaborate closely with the autonomy team, reporting to them and working alongside them to provide electrical support and expertise as needed
  • Assist the autonomy team with their electrical needs, offering assistance and sharing expertise when available and within capacity
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with the autonomy team to ensure seamless integration of electrical maintenance and repairs into their operations
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities performed on Liebherr electric trucks and diggers
  • Actively participate in safety meetings, hazard assessments, and adhere to safe work practices

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements:

  • Electrical Trade Qualification
  • Current Western Australia Electrical Licence (Unrestricted)
  • Current High Voltage Switching Ticket (within 2 years or happy to renew)
  • Current First Aid certificate
  • Current CPR/ LVR certificate
  • Working at Heights (preferred)
  • Valid Drivers Licence (C class)
  • Demonstrated electrical experience working with heavy mobile equipment such as CAT and Liebherr equipment
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and zero harm
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
