Job Description:

The Electrical Superintendent will oversee field operations for assigned projects, ensuring safe, timely, and profitable completion. This role involves planning, organizing, and supervising construction activities, particularly those related to electrical systems. Responsibilities include construction scheduling, job progress continuity, and subcontractor management. The role focuses on activities such as raceway, cable tray, electrical panels, ductbanks, switchgear, transformers, and more. The superintendent is also responsible for the oversight of project safety, subcontractor compliance, and maintaining effective relationships with clients and other contractors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising construction efforts, including safety, productivity, materials management, and scheduling.
  • Managing subcontractor compliance for electrical activities and coordinating with other project stakeholders.
  • Overseeing the installation and testing of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Developing project procedures and documentation, reviewing safety measures, and ensuring contractual performance.
  • Handling field reports, verifying material deliveries, and ensuring system compliance with specifications.
  • Managing the day-to-day physical construction efforts and directing field activities.
  • Interpreting isometric drawings, structural drawings, and P&IDs.
  • Performing other duties as assigned, while complying with company policies and standards.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of construction management or craft supervision experience on electrical projects, or
  • Associate degree with 9+ years of relevant experience, or
  • High School Diploma/GED with 11+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and safety skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Must meet the company's driving requirements.
