What are you going to do 

We have an Unconventional Upstream Oil & Gas company based in Midland, TX looking for an Instrumentation, Controls, & Electrical (IC&E) Engineer to act as an owner's rep overseeing their engineering contractors.

  • Work Schedule: Monday-Friday / 50 hours a week
  • Assignment Type: Standard US / W2 Contract
  • Desired Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: 1-year with potential for extension
  • Rate: Hourly with 1.5x OT

Main Functions

  • Review and evaluate discipline engineering work performed by internal teams, contractors, and sub-contractors to ensure compliance with company specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate the effective execution of discipline engineering and design processes that support team goals, objectives, and procedures.
  • Ensure clear and timely communication of discipline engineering activities, progress, and issues between the team and other company departments.
  • Demonstrate strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, alongside technical expertise.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Allen Bradley experience
  • Experience working for an EPC company
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, and relevant safety criteria for the discipline.
  • Ability to handle tight deadlines, high workloads, and frequent changes in priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Fluent in English, particularly in technical and business communications.
