What are you going to do 

  • Ensure compliance with Queensland TMR regulations, WHS laws, and national safety standards.
  • Manage and maintain safety documentation, including audits, risk assessments, and incident reports.
  • Oversee safety management systems (SMS), ensuring records and data are accurate and up to date.
  • Work closely with internal teams across mining and construction projects to uphold safety compliance.
  • Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures aligned with industry best practices.
  • Utilize compliance software, reporting tools, and data analytics to monitor and enhance safety performance.
  • Assist in preparing for internal and external audits, ensuring full adherence to safety regulations.
  • Stay informed on regulatory changes and train teams on updated safety requirements.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Proven experience in a compliance and safety role within the construction, civil, or mining industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Queensland safety regulations and federal compliance standards.
  • Highly computer-savvy with experience using compliance software, reporting tools, and data management systems.
  • Excellent analytical, reporting, and risk assessment skills.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to train and guide teams.
  • Relevant WHS and compliance certifications are highly regarded.
