Introduction

  • The Electrical Commissioning Lead shall provide guidance and support Electrical Commissioning oversight and direction to the project's main contractor and sub vendors.
  • Effectively collaborates and interfaces with Facilities Team and EPC contractor engineers and Operation personnel.
  • Provide coverage for multiple EPCs workshops, shop inspections and factory testing when and where required.
  • Oversee all aspects of the Contractor Electrical Commissioning team and provide oversight and guidance for the delivery of the Scope in Doha.

    What are you going to do 

    • Coordinate the activities of the EPC contractors, vendors and subcontractors, if required, to

      ensure quality assurance and production timing of the Electrical deliverables is in accordance

      with the approved project execution schedule and budget.

    • Support tendering process for EPC ITTs and develop EPC ITT packages for electrical discipline

      for future EPC projects in accordance with the approved project execution schedule and

      budget.

    • Support various EPC PMTs by reviewing documents and/or attending workshops/meetings

      when requested to ensure quality timing of electrical deliverables is in accordance with the

      approved project execution schedule and budget.

    • Analyze technical attachments and scope description of all electrical related purchase orders

      to ensure compliance with scope description in related contracts.

    • Maintains close liaison with Electrical Leads, Head of Facilities and Facilities Team counterparts and gains alignment on Electrical system engineering needs, objectives, and requirements.
    • Responsible for being knowledgeable of lessons learned from previous projects with the same

      contractor and capturing and communicating Electrical system engineering and design lessons

      learned for the current project.

    • Assesses Contractor capability and ensures Electrical system engineering or other technical

      Support is available to address gaps if required.

    • Stewards the Electrical system engineering schedule and critical milestones (LLI procurement,

      engineered equipment procurement; ROS dates, etc.); develops and stewards recovery plans

      to address any schedule delays.

    • Verifies that the EPCs Contractor provides all contract documents for Electrical system scope,

      including those referred to in the contract if required.

    • Verifies that the EPCs Contractor controls the Electrical system scope, i.e. accurate and timely progress measurement and reporting if required.

    Essential skills and knowledge 

    • Bachelor’s degree in applied sciences or engineering.
    • 8 years’ experience with large project commissioning in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, including with Oil & Gas companies, Contractors, or Service Companies.
    • Expertise in reading P&IDs, Datasheets, General Arrangement drawings and procedures.
    • Knowledge in projects execution, engineering, operations, pre-commissioning, commissioning and systems completion.
    • Knowledge in compliance with contract requirements including codes and standards, and contract technical specification compliance.
    • Experience with vendors operating in the LNG industry, such as compressors, power generation, control systems, topsides, etc.
    • Experience working in large scale operating organizations in Operations, Projects, Subsurface, etc.
    • Experience in start-up support to Operation.

      • Day Rate in USD Plus Allowance (onshore)
      • All Inclusive day rate in USD for (offshore)
    • Work Schedule:
      • 10 Hours / 6 Days (Onshore)
      • 28 Days On / 28 Days Off (Offshore)
    • Duration:
      • May 2028 with possible extension
    • Location:
      • Qatar, 70% Onshore / 30% Offshore
