Brunel are working closely with a global power company who are now looking to appoint their CEO for their start-up organisation here in Australia. Are you a seasoned executive with a passion for the power, water, and renewable energy industries? As the country CEO, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic vision and ensuring the continued success of the companies operations in Australia. With assets on the ground, the company is now looking for strong leadership to grow their portfolio and replicate their success from offices in the Middle-East, Europe and South- America.

What are you going to do 

As the Country CEO, you will be responsible for the overall executive management and corporate affairs of the Australian operation. Your role will encompass the strategic, investment, operational, and financial oversight of the Business in Australia. You will work closely with headquarters in the middle-east to develop and implement the business strategy, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and corporate governance standards. Your leadership will be crucial in driving business growth, optimising investment performance, and maintaining robust financial and compliance frameworks.

Essential skills and knowledge 

We are looking for a highly qualified individual with the following experience and skills:

Essential:

  • University degree in Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in executive or team management roles.
  • Extensive experience in the power, water, and renewable energy industries.
  • Familiarity with the Australian renewable energy sector and its regulations.

Preferred:

  • Master’s in Business Administration from a recognized management school or equivalent.
  • Exposure to international companies with complex structures and multicultural environments.

Skillset:

  • Strong management and team leadership abilities.
  • Superior analytical and synthesis skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with sensitivity to different cultures.
  • Proven ability to build trust and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
