What are you going to do 

We have an opportunity for a Business Analyst on a contract basis. As the BA, you will support the design and delivery of solutions tailored to the mining industry, with a focus on contractor management, legislative compliance, and health and safety regulations. The role requires close collaboration with stakeholders to gather business requirements, design systems and associated information gathering forms, and ensure integration with existing platforms such as SAP. The successful candidate will have experience in mining or similar industries, ideally with a background in contractor management, system technical solution requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirements Gathering & Business Process Analysis: Collaborate with business units, contractors, and technical teams to gather detailed requirements, analyse workflows, and identify inefficiencies, ensuring alignment with solution design, industry standards, and compliance with legislative and safety requirements.
  • Solution & Systems Design: Work with technical teams to design system integrations, forms, and process automation, ensuring compatibility with SAP and other existing systems, and streamline data collection to meet business and regulatory needs.
  • Stakeholder Communication & Technical Support: Serve as a bridge between business users and IT teams, facilitating clear communication and documentation, and develop technical design specifications for systems integration.
  • Compliance, Risk Management & Continuous Improvement: Ensure all systems and processes adhere to legislative requirements, especially in contractor management, workplace safety, and health standards, and monitor systems post-implementation for further optimisation.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' of experience as a Business Analyst in mining or industrial sectors
  • Experience with user centred design system implementations, health and safety compliance, and legislative requirements in a mining context
  • Experience with SAP systems and integrations
  • Proficiency in designing systems that integrate ERPs, LMS and Physical access management, contractor management information, and compliance workflow
  • Strong skills in process mapping, use case development, requirements elicitation and documentation, workshop facilitation, and systems technical specification
