Introduction

Our client is a leading energy company who are searching for an experienced Biosecurity Advisor to join their team.

What are you going to do 

We have a 2 year contract role available FIFO from Brisbane to Chinchilla QLD.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements:

  • Degree in environmental science, environmental management, or related field.
  • Experience in biosecurity, field ecology, and land/natural resource management within the Brigalow Belt region.
  • Experience dealing with landholders/regulators and implementing environmental management plans in the oil and gas industry/broader resource sector.
  • Field experience in ESC and rehabilitating construction sites with dispersive soils (highly regarded).
  • Experience in contract/contractor management, budgeting, forecasting, and scheduling work.
  • Knowledge of QLD / Commonwealth environmental legislation and policies regarding biosecurity, vegetation, and fauna management.
  • Commercial Operator Agricultural Chemical Distribution Control License (AHCPMG301, AHCCHM303, AHCCHM304) (Desirable)
  • Competency in cleaning and inspecting vehicles used for resource activities during survey, construction and operation (AHCBIO201). (Desirable)
  • Competency in inspecting source and stored materials for Biosecurity Declaration (AHCPMG301).
  • Must have full working rights in Australia and be located in South East QLD or Chinchilla.
