Introduction

Urgently seeking a skilled Technical Writer to support our client within the Energy sector. This is a residential role and is open to candidates presently residing in Darwin. Duration of contract will be initially for approx 9 months with a possible view to extend.

About this role

You will be responsible for:

  • Refining and standardising critical documentation to support operations and maintenance functions
  • ensure that procedures, work instructions, and operational documents are clear, consistent, and compliant with industry standards
  • Update, optimise and format operational procedures and work instructions to ensure clarity, accuracy and usability
  • Work closely with departments to gather, review and validate technical content
  • Ensure all documentation aligns with Company standards, regulatory requirements and industry best practices
  • Manage and maintain document integrity within document control systems, ie Aconex, SharePoint, Documentum
  • Identify opportunities to improve the structure and presentation of technical documents
  • Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements related to documentation
  • Conduct quality assurance checks, peer reviews, and feedback sessions to enhance document effectiveness

Is this you?

  • Previous experience in Technical Writing in refining procedures and work instructions within the Resources sector
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite with expertise in document formatting, templates and style guides
  • Previous experience in Document Control systems
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specification
  • Excellent communication skills, with a strong focus on detail and document accuracy
