About this role

We have a current opportunity for a Senior Test Engineer on a contract basis. The position is site based on a 8/6 roster. For further information about this position please apply.

The Senior Test Engineer will be apart of agile, multi-disciplinary development team working on industry-leading mine automation solutions. This position involves working with both hardware and software systems, ensuring the successful testing and validation of autonomy projects before delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Testing & Validation

  • Work with the Engineering team to test, validate, and accept mobile autonomy product deliveries.
  • Ensure technical and functional requirements meet the required standards.
  • Document, track, and resolve deviations from requirements with Project and Engineering teams.
  • Complete all validation work with the agreed level of detail.

Manual & Automated Testing

  • Create manual test cases based on functional requirements.
  • Develop and execute automation test cases.
  • Execute and record test cases, logging bugs and communicating findings to the Engineering team.

Subject Matter Expertise

  • Provide operational expertise to the design process, working alongside Product Managers and Engineering Leads.
  • Deliver on-the-job training to site maintenance teams for mobile autonomy systems.
  • Collaborate with training teams to build training packages for Mobile Autonomy projects.
  • Support onsite autonomy teams in adopting new projects in the field.

Is this you?

Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years as a Test Analyst/Engineer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in Windows & Linux environments.
  • Experience developing test frameworks and executing integration, system, regression, and performance tests.
  • Familiarity with deployment tools like OctopusDeploy.

Technical Skills:

  • Jira / Confluence
  • Strong communication & teamwork skills
  • Agile & Scrum methodologies (user story refinement, estimation, sprint planning, retrospectives)
  • Problem-solving & planning with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with:
  • CAN Bus, DDS, ROS / ROS2, Linux
  • Building test jigs
  • Python, C / C++
  • Behave! / Robot Framework
