Introduction

We are excited to partner with a leading mining business based in the Peel region of WA to recruit a Senior Mechanical Engineer. This is a unique opportunity to work on significant capital projects within a dynamic and innovative processing plant environment. About this role

  • Lead and manage the mechanical engineering design for capital projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
  • Oversee the development of a new Residue Filtration Building to efficiently separate liquid from tailings.
  • Implement the installation of a new bridge-type bucket wheel reclaimer, ensuring seamless integration into existing systems.
  • Coordinate the relocation of services and utilities to accommodate the future tailings storage facility.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met on time and within budget.
  • Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Ensure all engineering activities adhere to safety, health, and environmental regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in capital projects and mechanical engineering design within a processing plant environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale engineering projects from conception to completion.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and innovatively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
