Introduction

Our Tier 1 mining client, based in the CBD, is seeking an experienced Principal E&I Engineer to lead engineering design and project delivery in decarbonisation and rail electrification for mining and rail infrastructure projects. This is a critical role for a skilled engineer with expertise in sustainable energy solutions and complex electrical systems.

About this role

Role:

  • Lead electrical and instrumentation system designs for mining infrastructure and rail electrification projects.
  • Drive decarbonisation strategies and integrate sustainable energy solutions.
  • Manage project delivery from design to commissioning, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality results.
  • Integrate sustainable practices into electrical designs, including renewable energy sources, energy storage systems, and smart grid solutions that support decarbonisation goals in mining and rail infrastructure.
  • Lead a team of engineers, ensuring high technical standards and safety.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to meet project goals, regulatory requirements, and sustainability objectives.

Is this you?

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or related Engineering.
  • Extensive experience in mining electrical engineering, with a focus on decarbonisation and rail electrification.
  • In-depth understanding of rail infrastructure systems and integration of E&I systems into rail networks.
  • Proficiency in design and project management software (AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, etc.).
  • Right to work in Australia is required; overseas candidates will not be considered.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on energy efficiency and sustainable design.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
