Introduction

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Wells Engineer to join a leading energy company's Well Interventions team, supporting a high-activity operation with 12 Workover Rigs, a Coil Tubing Rig, and multiple ringless operations.

About this role

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support & Planning

  • Develop, review, and optimize well intervention and workover programs.
  • Provide engineering support for daily operations across workovers, coiled tubing, wireline, slickline, and otherrigless activities.
  • Troubleshoot well integrity and intervention challenges with innovative solutions.
  • Ensure programs are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with best practices.

Operational Excellence & Compliance

  • Support operational risk management and incident investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal company standards, regulatory frameworks, and industry guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the well's operations team, service providers, and other engineering disciplines to align business objectives.

Continuous Improvement & Cost Control

  • Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements in well intervention activities.
  • Contribute to cost control, budget planning, and performance tracking of intervention programs.
  • Drive innovation and optimization initiatives to enhance intervention and P&A efficiency.

Requirements:

We are looking for a technically capable and adaptable Wells Engineer with experience in well interventions and a passion for delivering safe, efficient, and innovative solutions.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Engineering degree (Petroleum, Mechanical, or equivalent).
  • Experience in well interventions, P&A, or workover operations.
  • Strong understanding of Workover Rigs, Coil Tubing, wireline/slickline, and rigless interventions.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot well integrity issues and develop intervention solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-activity, fast-paced operational environment.
