About this role

Reporting to the Outbound manager it is expected that the successful candidate will preform but not be limited to the following tasks.

  • Support the daily operational relationship with Life Science 3PL providers - New Zealand & Australia
  • Perform ERP transactions to facilitate 3PL operations for outbound distribution functions.
  • Handle queries from internal and external partners regarding Merck logistics operations - relating both warehousing and transport.
  • General tasks required to support the Distribution Function for Australia & New Zealand
  • Liaise with 3PL's on critical and urgent orders
  • Act on complaints from customers
  • Arrange returns
  • Liaise with 3PL's on daily ops issues
  • Run open delivery reports
  • Manage transport issues like freight being held at depot's
  • Report on KPI's

Is this you?

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Logistics working within supply chain operations team, managing 3PL performance, with knowledge of the Australian industry and WHS ideally in FMCG, Food and Beverage, Pharma manufacturing, transportation or customer service area.
  • Experience in Load planning & Scheduling
  • Excellent communication - you interact with ease, whether with tech teams or transporters.
  • Knowledge of Australia and New Zealand codes for Transportation of Dangerous Goods and Chain of Responsibility.
