Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Remediation Specialist to join Chevron Australia's upstream operations portfolio on a 2-year contract. In this role, you will lead the design, management, and execution of contaminated site assessments, remediation, and waste management across multiple complex projects.

About this role

  • Responsible for detailed design, project management and execution of contaminated site assessment, management, remediation, and waste management for set sites and scopes with Chevron Australia's upstream operations portfolio. Specific knowledge of PFAS management is beneficial.
  • Supervision, coordination and project management of specialist contracted contaminated sites consultants, from planning, pre-mobilization safety reviews, field execution, desktop activities and reporting, in the timeframes agreed
  • Field scope integration with site based operational activities
  • Delivery of quality outcomes, safely, within appropriate timeframe and budget constraints; and working over multiple complex projects
  • Applies technical subject matter expertise, that manages any human health risks; and brings in the most current and best practice ecological risk assessment and remediation technologies, linking in future land reinstatement and rehabilitation requirements for the net environmental benefi
  • Supports overarching team scope development, budget management and planning and annual update of the remediation and rehabilitation program requirements
  • Utilises support from greater enterprise resources internationally, to implement improved technologies and research to achieve greater program efficiencies.
  • Supports operational groundwater and stormwater monitoring/reporting and inputs into environmental databases as required.

Requirements:

  • Relevant First-hand experience and detailed understanding contaminated sites management, ecological risk assessment and remediation in Western Australia is required.
  • Experience with contamination management associated with operations and onshore decommissioning/retirement of oil and gas facilities is desirable.
