Introduction

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our tier one mining business client on a 12 month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing procurement activities for a tier one mining business in the mining sector. This is a Perth-based role with a 5:2 Monday-Friday roster.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement category strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Build and sustain strong, long-term supplier relationships focusing on innovation and mutual value creation.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement efforts with business needs.
  • Manage category and supplier relationship activities to deliver measurable value.
  • Drive effective negotiations to achieve optimal contractual and commercial outcomes.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks while fostering creative problem-solving approaches

Is this you?

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in strategic procurement
  • Category management experience
  • Service procurement experience is an advantage
  • Mining experience is highly desirable
  • Perth-based
  • 5:2 Monday -Friday roster
  • Must have current right to work in Australia to be considered for this role
