Introduction

We're seeking a Cost Schedule Controls Engineer III to work with a major LNG company on a 1-year contract basis with the possibility of extension.

About this role

  • The Cost/Schedule/Controls Engineer will be responsible for performing or coordinating efforts related to cost estimate preparation, ensuring oversight and quality assurance for Company-operated and Other Builder Operator (OBO) estimates at all Gate and Funding milestones.
  • Preparing and reviewing estimates for all project stages, including Check Estimates and Schedules to compare with OBO-prepared submittals.
  • Participating in estimate and schedule assessments to verify project cost and schedule bases.
  • Contributing to process efficiency tools within the Estimating Group and assisting in quality assurance review process improvements.
  • Maintain change control, cost reports, and related documentation.
  • Collaborate with project estimators, planners, schedulers, and the client's accounting staff.
  • Coordinate and compile monthly progress reports.
  • Work closely with the client's project manager and team leads for regulated and non-regulated accounting reporting requirements.

Is this you?

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, with a focus on cost estimation and project controls.
  • Advanced proficiency in Cost Estimating, Project Planning, and Project Controls.
  • Strong analytical, computing, and project management skills. Excellent negotiation skills, with the ability to broker solutions between internal coordination parties.
  • Strong influencing, consulting, and mentoring capabilities.
  • Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and manage cross-functional activities.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and environments.
