Introduction

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Estimator with experience in cost estimating for projects in their early conceptual phases, prior to full funding approval to work with one of our major clients in Spring, TX.

About this role

  • The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience using AspenTech ACCE (Aspen Capital Cost Estimator) software and a strong background working as an owner's representative.
  • Provide accurate cost estimates for early-phase project planning, prior to projects reaching full funding approval.
  • Utilize AspenTech ACCE for conceptual and detailed cost estimation, ensuring estimates are fit for purpose and aligned with project scope.
  • Collaborate with the project estimator, planner, scheduler, and Client's accounting team to develop comprehensive cost forecasts.
  • Lead the coordination and assembly of monthly progress reports, ensuring timely and accurate updates on project costs and status.
  • Act as the owner's representative in cost estimation processes, ensuring alignment with the Client's objectives and financial goals.
  • Provide cost estimates specifically for Oil and Gas projects, with an emphasis on LNG and low carbon solutions.
  • Ensure cost estimates consider all factors related to materials, labor, equipment, and contingency planning.

Is this you?

  • Proficiency in AspenTech ACCE or other relevant cost estimating software.
  • Proven experience working for an owner or as an owner's representative on large capital projects.
  • Oil and Gas industry experience is highly preferred, particularly in LNG and low carbon solutions.
  • Strong understanding of cost estimation principles, with the ability to produce accurate and reliable estimates.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with estimators, planners, schedulers, and accounting staff.
  • Strong organizational skills, particularly in assembling and coordinating progress reports.
