Introduction

On behalf of our client, Woodside Energy, a Global Energy Company, Brunel is presently sourcing a Banking Analyst. The role will report to the Corporate Manager for Banking and be a member of the Corporate Banking Team. This will be a 12 month contract, based in the Corporate Perth CBD office.

Key Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for managing the day to day reconciliation and processing of accounting entries for bank accounts spanning across Woodside's international footprint. This role works in conjunction with other Finance Teams and the business.

Reconciliation of bank accounts on a daily basis

  • Processing of bank transactions
  • Preparation of general journals and period-close activities
  • SOX control compliance and testing
  • Review and manage bank refunds and returns
  • Assist the Business, Payroll, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Teams with payment queries
  • Investigate transactions and liaise with the banks
  • Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations including preparing balance sheet commentary
  • Manage audit requests
  • Other ad hoc tasks as required

Is this you?

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance OR a related field
  • Working towards CA / CPA qualification will be desirable
  • Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA and BlackLine will be well regarded
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across departments and with various stakeholders
  • Problem solving and improvement mindset, able to investigate issues and find effective solutions
