Introduction

Brunel are looking to identify a Senior Marine Engineer with relevant experience in offshore oil & gas project experience. This 12 month contract position is to work for a global leading Offshore Services Provider and you will be office based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. (Should you need to relocate then this would be at your own cost)

What are you going to do 

Responsibilities:


In the role of Marine Engineer you are responsible for taking the role of an independent Marine Engineer on projects.
* You will contribute to deliver high-quality and cost-effective Marine Systems designs of Company products. You will particularly focus on Company FPSOs and potentially; Floating LNG products.* In this position you could experience occasional high workload (peaks in project scope for your discipline).
* You could be; optionally requested to be on assignment in other project offices or shipyards around the globe on short or long-term basis.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements:

  • Educated to Degree level in relevant Engineering field
  • At least 2 years' experience in Marine Systems Engineering and Design (Preferably on Pre-FEED, FEED and Detailed phase)
  • Sound technical knowledge in both conceptual and detailed design of (marine and production) systems for the Oil & Gas Industry
  • Able to interface with related disciplines i.e. Naval, E&I, Piping, HVAC, Process, Technical Safety & Regulatory
  • Preferably working experience in/ with Shipyards, Shipboard Operation, Marine Equipment Vendor and Manufacturer
  • Preferably experience in Engineering & Design and/or Operation of LNG carriers
  • Familiar with the latest (marine) systems and equipment technology
  • Familiar with rules of classification societies
  • Have experience with review methods, such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA HP/LP Reports, SIF Reports etc .

What we offer 

Please note the client will not accept Freelance Limited Company Contractors. You will be paid by Brunel on a PAYE basis.

This long term contract position offers a competitive all-inclusive hourly rate and the opportunity to work on major offshore projects
