Introduction

As a Senior Electronics Test Designer, you'll develop and implement comprehensive test strategies for advanced electronics, working with cutting-edge technology!

What are you going to do 

Your key duties will involve planning and executing electronics verification and validation activities, documenting findings, resolving issues, and continuously refining testing methods for both R&D and production settings.
Leading electronics testing efforts will require strong collaboration skills across all levels of the organization and with various stakeholders.
A key aspect of your role will be mentoring and supporting junior engineers. You'll oversee and establish testing infrastructures, documentation, and applications, guiding teams through end-to-end performance tests and automating test workflows. You'll also be responsible for conducting and supervising accelerated life tests and environmental assessments, including thermal, vibration, shock, dust, and EMC testing.
Budget management for testing and contributing to cost optimization initiatives will also be essential parts of your responsibilities. You'll own the entire testing lifecycle, from initial concept to final assembly, ensuring projects are delivered on time and meet objectives.
In pursuit of continuous improvement, you'll update outdated testing strategies and tools, perform routine error analysis in production, initiate preventive measures, and implement long-term solutions.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • You have a Master's degree in Electronics.
  • 5 year plus experience in electronics verification and validation within the high-tech industry.
  • Skilled in using and developing test setups with oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers and automated test equipment (ATE).
  • Familiarity with temperature, pressure and vibration tests, including relevant standards and documentation.
  • Understanding of verification according to standards and regulations for complex systems.
  • Proficient with tools like LabVIEW, Keysight VEE and Test-OK.
  • Experience in Python and Matlab.
  • Knowledgeable about quality tools such as FMEA, 8D, 5 Whys and Ishikawa.
