Introduction

  • Provide front line safety and technical leadership. Ensuring safe effective and efficient execution

    of construction activities in accordance with the project schedule and compliance with quality

    and technical standards.

  • Ensures proper coordination and communication is in place and continuously engages with all

    stakeholders (Construction, PCC, SHEs, Operations) from PMT, Contractor and sub-contractors

    within scope.

  • Supports Contractor/Sub-Contractor to perform SHES assessments (HAZIDs, Risk Assessments, etc.) when required to ensure proper management of SIMOPSs risks.
  • Participate in and support FEED activities to ensure Brownfield / Interface works can be executed in the safest and most efficient manner.

What are you going to do 

  • Providing visible safety leadership and care for people in line with LNG and the Project vision.
  • Leads SIMOPS management, including relevant site work management processes such as LOTO,

    JSAs and PTWs.

    Shall be flexible and team orientated. Support Construction, SHEs and Commissioning Managers

    as the leader and owner of SIMOPS execution process. Works closely with other disciplines to

    effectively deliver the scope.

  • Champion on-site SIMOPS, LOTO and PTW awareness and safe performance.
  • Actively visits site to assess work management procedures and provides leadership to

    Contractors and Sub-Contractors to ensure SIMOPS, LOTO and PTW procedures and systems

    are fully understood and implemented by all.

  • Liaise with internal/external groups as and when required e.g. LNG Major Projects, HSE&Q,

    Contractors, Sub-Contractors, etc.

  • Support and participate in constructability and construction readiness reviews identifying

    improvement opportunities with the contractor team.

  • Drive schedule compliance assuring Contractor delivery in line with the path of construction,

    L3/4 schedule and project milestones.

  • Analyze construction progress and productivity reports, identifying contractor improvements

    across direct and indirect activities.

  • Ensuring Contractor controls change in accordance with project procedures, identifying

    schedule and contractual impact.

  • Supporting the Advanced Work Packing process and system compliance, identification and

    resolution of constraints to support schedule delivery.

  • Lead construction completions compliance (punch closure to MC) to CSU.
  • Providing Coordination and managing discipline interfaces.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor’s degree in sciences or engineering
  • 10 years’ experience with Large Projects in Construction related disciplines (e.g., construction,

    installation, fabrication, execution, completion, hook-up, etc.) in the Oil & Gas Industry, including

    2 years of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles.

  • Minimum of 8 years’ field experience in SIMOPS within the oil and gas industry.
  • Experience with Oil and Gas companies, contractors, service companies, or heavy construction

    companies.

  • Broad knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria

    related to major fabrication, transport, installation, brownfield execution, and hook-up, as

    applicable to the project scope.

  • Knowledge of offshore facilities and structures, onshore facilities, or yard operations.
  • Good knowledge of execution methods and risks associated with sour gas and LNG production

    facilities.

  • Experience working in large scale operating organizations in Operations, Projects, etc.
  • Proven track record of Project delivery in the industry and managing EPC contractors and sub-

    contractors.

  • Excellent track record in construction safety results.
  • Desired experience in operations and brownfield SIMOPs planning and execution.
  • Proven experience with construction planning, specifications, and procedures.
