Introduction

Brunel is working on an iconic renewables project and are seeking a Commercial Manager to join the client's team, playing a critical role in overseeing all commercial and contractual activities related to the head contractor. This position is ideal for a Senior Contracts Administrator looking to step up or a Commercial Manager seeking a long-term opportunity.

Experience working on large infrastructure projects, negotiating and managing claims and variations is ideal.

What are you going to do 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Contract Management: Develop and implement strategies for effective contract management, ensuring compliance with project agreements and alignment with overarching objectives.

  • Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate records of all contract-related documents, including claims, variations, and approvals, to ensure comprehensive compliance and documentation.

  • Stakeholder Engagement and Negotiation: Act as the primary point of contact for negotiations and build strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure cohesive project execution.

  • Reporting and Analysis: Monitor, report, and analyse the status of claims and variations, providing strategic insights to senior management.

  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that all claims and variations adhere to legal, regulatory, and project-specific requirements, while developing mitigation strategies for potential risks.

  • Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure compliance.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Law,
  • 8+ years of experience in senior contracts administration or management, on large-scale construction or engineering projects.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing a team of contracts professionals.
  • In-depth knowledge of EPC contracts and legal compliance.
  • Strong negotiation, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in contract management.

This is an onsite role so FIFO options are available from anywhere on the East-Coast or attractive relocation package is on offer including rental assistance for up to 12 months.
