What are you going to do
- Conduct inspections on welding processes and finished welds to ensure compliance with established standards and specifications.
- Review welding procedure specifications (WPS) and ensure they are followed correctly during operations.
- Collaborate with welding personnel to address any issues or discrepancies found during inspections.
- Maintain detailed records of inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions.
- Assist in the development and implementation of inspection quality plans.
- Stay updated on industry standards and best practices related to welding inspections.
Essential skills and knowledge
- Certification as a Welding Inspector (e.g., AWS CWI, CSWIP 3.1).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in welding inspection, preferably in FPSO or offshore projects.
- Strong knowledge of welding processes, materials, and relevant codes (e.g., ASME, API).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
