Introduction

What are you going to do 

  • Conduct inspections on welding processes and finished welds to ensure compliance with established standards and specifications.
  • Review welding procedure specifications (WPS) and ensure they are followed correctly during operations.
  • Collaborate with welding personnel to address any issues or discrepancies found during inspections.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of inspection quality plans.
  • Stay updated on industry standards and best practices related to welding inspections.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Certification as a Welding Inspector (e.g., AWS CWI, CSWIP 3.1).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in welding inspection, preferably in FPSO or offshore projects.
  • Strong knowledge of welding processes, materials, and relevant codes (e.g., ASME, API).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
