Introduction

Active member of the dry etching engineering cluster; Developing dry etching processes for internal and external customers; Interact with Project Managers, Sales, Product Engineers, other process engineers and Operators/Technicians.

What are you going to do 

As a Senior Dry Etching Process Engineer, you will take ownership of dry etching equipment in the cleanroom, ensuring stable and optimized processes. You’ll be responsible for developing and applying both new and existing etching processes within projects, contributing to key technological decisions throughout each phase. You will assist customers with etching process choices, identify and initiate improvements, and evaluate the reuse of existing knowledge while driving new developments.

Continuously expanding your technological expertise, you will engage with internal teams, suppliers, and external knowledge institutes. You will also contribute to equipment purchases, designing process requirements and specifications, and coach engineers and technicians. Proactive communication with stakeholders, including clients and management, is key, while ensuring compliance with ESH policies, rules, and regulations.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in the field of exact sciences.
  • Experience in process engineering and development.
  • Experience working with or leading project teams in a technical environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of dry etching technology used for thin film processing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, both technical and interpersonal.
  • Capable of combining physical and chemical knowledge to understand complex plasma etch processes and their interaction with thin films.
  • Experience with tools such as DOE, SPC, FMEA, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Pragmatic, creative, flexible, and results-driven with a proactive mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English at a professional level.
