Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Shutdown Mechanical Engineer to support a major shutdown event in 2025. You will provide technical expertise in mechanical equipment, scope planning, and resolve technical queries, ensuring safe and efficient execution.

What are you going to do 

  • Act as the focal point for managing technical queries related to mechanical/static scopes.
  • Address technical actions from scope assessment and clarification phases.
  • Implement assurance plans to manage risks and controls for mechanical equipment.
  • Contribute to maintenance and shutdown planning processes.
  • Provide expertise in static mechanical equipment operations in Oil & Gas facilities.
  • Deliver Mechanical Engineering scopes of work effectively
  • Continuously review and improve maintenance and operating procedures for mechanical plants.
  • Provide technical support for plant breakdowns and planned shutdowns.
  • Develop risk mitigation plans for mechanical scope readiness and escalation during the event.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements:

  • Possess a strong understanding of operational management of change processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Extensive experience in operations support within Oil & Gas, refinery, or petrochemical industries.
  • Proficiency in SAP PM and Meridium APM systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly self-motivated with a proactive approach.
  • Operations, Maintenance, Planning, Shutdown, Strategic Engineering teams, and Equipment OEMs.
