Introduction

  • Responsible for developing the SAP implementation strategy across Drilling & Wells Develop customized training modules and impart knowledge sharing.
  • In charge of training D & W team in SAP systems, tools and process flow Responsible for SAP Performance Monitoring, develop reports, dash boards etc.
  • Drive innovation across the service operations to improve quality of service and cost efficiency.
  • Act as a lead to implement continuous improvement processes, Business analysis & user acceptance testing.
  • SAP is the integrated management system for business support and is essential to the proper functioning of COMPANY.
  • The SAP tools are adapted and configured to cover the needs of the C&P in COMPANY. SAP is the entry point for many stakeholders: technicians, managers, materials managers, warehousing, accountants etc.
  • SAP is also interfaced with other applications or modules of various fields like: E-procurement, financial accounting, Projects management, Budgets, Facilities, Maintenance and Contracts Management and therefore highly important for the daily work of the job holder.
  • The post holder will be responsible for implementation, training and develop innovative methods to ensure smooth functioning of the SAP system in COMPANY.
  • Act as SAP focal point and liaise with other entities like C & P, Finance, Logistics, RGS, Warehouse etc., as needed

What are you going to do 

  • The Job holder participates to the operations of D&W by performing the following activities:
    • Develop the processes in SAP to support D & W operations.
    • Develop training modules and impart training to D & W users for the use of SAP tools.
    • Act as the SAP focal point in D&W within COMPANY whenever necessary.
    • Provide recommendation to IT-ERP team based on D&W feedback and business requirement.
    • Monitors and reports the progress of work related to SAP tools in D&W. Generate reporting, alert users for nonconformance or delayed processes.
    • Act as interface to related entities, follow up on integration activities between functional areas.
    • Conduct root cause analysis of problems and implement appropriate actions and business improvements.
    • Identify and suggest improvements in time and cost with the areas of responsibility, continuous learning.
    • Co-ordinate the changes/updates in handling the roles and authorizations management.
    • Coordinate in development of lean ways of working, develop reports, dash boards etc.
    • Contribute to maintaining the D&W internal knowledge of SAP tools and partner entities within COMPANY by:
      • Consolidating and documenting the experience, and know-how acquired in the performance of his/her duties.
      • Developing the knowledge of existing SAP products and new technologies covering the areas of procurement, contracts, inventory.
      • Identify skills, gaps and plan training for all support members to ensure that the levels of SAP competence are maintained.
      • Liaise with other teams/departments who coordinate with D & W
  • The Job holder manages the Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance in the use of SAP tools with all internal company rules (including COMPANY Code to conduct) and all applicable laws and regulation.
    • Take the necessary measures to avert immediate threat of danger.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Master’s degree in Technical / Finance disciplines or equivalent
  • International Experience is preferred not essential.
  • Professional experience: Minimum of 10 years in Oil & Gas upstream business of which at least 4 years with working knowledge of SAP
  • Exposure to SAP through implementations and go live support, proven track record of leading and implementing continuous improvement processes
  • Proven track record of providing SAP guidance, training & support
  • Exceptionally good understanding of Drilling processes, and knowledge of impact of SAP functionalities w.r.t Drilling
  • Strong SAP experience in data cleaning and roll outs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that result in teamwork, trust and well developed internal and external relationship.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload to meet demanding targets, tight deadlines, and self-driven.
  • Excellent skills in problem solving, planning, coordination, communication, training, analytical and technical.
