Job Title: Regulatory Analyst

Location: Midland, TX

Schedule: Hybrid (40 Hours/Week, Hybrid (M - Th in office, Fri remote).

W2 Contract role w/ Benefits

Description:

Provide regulatory support in complying with federal, state, and local regulations. Should be able to effectively interact with internal asset teams and departments as well as external representatives to secure regulatory compliance with little supervision.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

* Support to asset teams in completing and submitting regulatory filings including but not limited to drilling permits, completions, recompletions, flare permits, commingle permits, and injection permits with all associated forms.

* Research and assist to resolve all compliance issues.

* Maintain in-house tracking systems with current information.

* Request and review as drilled plats provided by the survey company.

* Distribute filings to teams and departments as needed.

* Assist with review of assets for compliance issues during acquisitions and divestitures.

* Work with service company to obtain, review and file W-15's

* Complete all data collection for completion packets

* Assess and resolve violation notices for assigned area.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Required Qualifications:

* High School diploma or equivalent

* Minimum of four (4) years of experience comprehending and interpreting State and Federal rules and regulations

* Minimum of four (4) years of experience filing State and Federal Documents

* Must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with various regulatory agencies

* Must be able to communicate clearly and influence other departments and discuss issues that may arise

* Must be able to apply knowledge and use critical thinking skills to achieve work responsibilities

* Must be able to work independently with little direction

Preferred Qualifications:

* Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred

* Three years experience in RRC regulatory

* Prior Permian Basin experience

* Familiar with oilfield terminology and operations

* Ability to problem solve and multi-task under tight schedule constraints, work on multiple projects concurrently, manage varying priorities and tasks, and adapt quickly to rapidly changing events, meeting deadlines with attention given to detail.
