Introduction

  • Manage various networking systems and projects within Dukhan and Mesaieed Operations.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of networking infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and support for operational needs.

What are you going to do 

  • Supervise the installation, configuration, and maintenance of networking systems, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure timely deployment and integration of networking solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to network infrastructure, ensuring minimal downtime and disruptions to operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of network equipment and facilities to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians and end-users on networking-related matters.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement network solutions that meet the organization's requirements and objectives.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in the networking industry, recommending innovations and enhancements to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of network systems, configurations, and maintenance activities.
  • Participate in training programs and knowledge sharing sessions to enhance skills and expertise in networking technologies.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in networking systems installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in networking protocols and technologies, including but not limited to, TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and routing protocols.
  • Certification in relevant networking technologies (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in networking systems maintenance and support, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead technician role.
  • Hands-on experience with networking equipment and tools, such as Cisco routers and switches, Palo Alto firewalls, and wireless controllers.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in network design and implementation.
  • Experience working in industrial or plant environments is an advantage
  • Certification and trainings such as a valid Cisco, Fortinet certifications and trainings etc.
  • Experience working with Nozomi and Fortinet components as well such as Fortigate Firewalls. FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to work in challenging and dynamic environments.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergency situations as needed.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
