Brunel International is a leading recruitment and workforce solutions provider, specialized in the Mining and Resources industry. We are currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Design Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client's engineering business.

What are you going to do 

As a Senior Design Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in the design and execution of projects related to minerals processing, pumping and piping, and materials handling conveyor systems. You will also be involved in multiple areas of the supply chain from Pit to Port. You will be responsible for supervising team members in a senior engineering role, and ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in the Mining and/or Resources Industry
  • Experience in minerals processing, pumping and piping
  • Experience in materials handling conveyor systems
  • Experience in multiple areas of the supply chain from Pit to Port
  • Experience from studies to detailed design to execution.
  • In-depth knowledge of discipline design standards and engineering systems
  • Experience in a senior engineering role supervising team members
  • Proficient use of related packages including, Fluid Flow 3, Helix, Sidewinder, JK Sim.
