Introduction

My client are seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to join their R&D team to drive green iron development from pilot to commercial scale. Reporting to the Principal Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls Engineer, you'll need a flexible mindset and creative approach.

What are you going to do 

Role:

  • Create and update technical docs (P&IDs, control logic, etc.).
  • Specify instrumentation, control valves, and actuators for mineral processing.
  • Oversee procurement, installation, and commissioning of systems.
  • Ensure control systems meet design specifications.
  • Follow industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Contribute to design and safety workshops (HAZOP, SIL assessments).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional R&D teams.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in Engineering (Instrumentation, Electrical, Control Systems).
  • 5+ years in instrumentation, control systems, and valve specification.
  • Experience with DCS/PLC (Siemens preferred).
  • Experience with slurry/wet minerals processing a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
