Introduction

My client are seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to join their R&D team to drive green iron development from pilot to commercial scale. Reporting to the Principal Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls Engineer, you'll need a flexible mindset and creative approach.

What are you going to do

Role:

Create and update technical docs (P&IDs, control logic, etc.).
Specify instrumentation, control valves, and actuators for mineral processing.
Oversee procurement, installation, and commissioning of systems.
Ensure control systems meet design specifications.
Follow industry standards and safety regulations.
Contribute to design and safety workshops (HAZOP, SIL assessments).
Collaborate with cross-functional R&D teams.

Essential skills and knowledge

Requirements:

Bachelor's in Engineering (Instrumentation, Electrical, Control Systems).
5+ years in instrumentation, control systems, and valve specification.
Experience with DCS/PLC (Siemens preferred).
Experience with slurry/wet minerals processing a plus.
Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
