Introduction

  • Establish and steward Industrial Hygiene and Health Management protocols for the Onshore Project across all Packages.
  • This includes procedures for all activities, associated camps, construction, commissioning and related facilities and/or project sites.
  • Conduct, analyze and report results of Fit To Work, Case Management, Injury/Ilness reports, data, communicable/occupational diseases, Health Risk Assessment and monitoring in line with applicable Project and LNG policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements.
  • Support, liase & advise Contractor’s Industrial Hygiene and medical teams on contractual and regulatory requirements for all Industrial hygiene and health management related scopes.
  • Supports the SHES and Project Management Team in terms of industrial hygiene and health management implementation, SHES performance and compliance with strategies, procedures, systems, investigations, audits, inspections, and lessons learned on the Onshore Project including site and camps.
  • Job holder supports, oversees and coordinates all CONTRACTOR(s) and SUBCONTRACTOR(s) industrial hygiene and health management activities and reporting to the organization, including Major Projects Group, Stakeholders (e.g. LNG MOPH, RLIC) and Shareholders.
  • Develops solutions to industrial hygiene and health management issues using initiative, project procedures, best practices, Lessons Learned, personal knowledge and experience.

What are you going to do 

  • Contributes to the establishment of the project industrial hygiene and health management process, including Fit to Work, Case Management and Health Risk Assessment and record keeping for Onshore Project, LNG Medical/IH policies and procedures as well as relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Supports the investigation of personal injuries and illnesses, as well as project identified health and industrial hygiene hazard risks.
  • Provide oversight and support for all industrial hygiene and health management personnel and deliverables across all project packages in line with contracts, project requirements, regulatory bodies (e.g. MoPH, CDC, RLIC, Project LNG).
  • Support the EPC CONTRACTOR(s) development of a centralized database to report, record and track all industrial hygiene and health management risks and control programs, inspections, audits and statistics.
  • Interface as delegated focal point between relevant industrial hygiene and health management representatives including regulatory bodies, LNG, and CONTRACTOR(s).
  • Advise and support the PMT SHES and Worker Welfare Division Managers and Camp O&M Head in regards to industrial hygiene and health management subjects and scope of work including investigations, inspections and audits.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any Occupational Health, Hygiene, Safety, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or alternative.
  • 10 years experience in occupational health and hygiene related field.
  • Familiar with industrial hygiene and health management within industrial setting.
  • Knowledge of basic science including occupational medicine, hygiene, physics, toxicology, psychosocial and biology with ability to apply this scientific data into field actions.
  • International project experience with Tier-1 Contractors or Client, involved in the construction of onshore production facilities (i.e. greenfield and brownfield work).
  • Sound knowledge of the project execution process in large-scale project environments (expenditure >US$ 1 Bn).
  • Leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills; confident and clear presentation development and delivery.
  • Able to cope with excessive workload.
  • Be inventive to bring new ideas, methods and procedures to meet Project objectives.
  • Strong teamwork, facilitation, with the ability to communicate and interact at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work with diverse cultures to obtain a world-class SHES performance.
  • Creates high quality and accurate output in a timely manner.
  • Team player who can effectively collaborate within Project Teams and with external parties.
  • Able to identify and analyze complex issues and provide recommendations.
  • Establishes and sustains credibility with peers, subordinates and supervisors.

  • Computer literate, familiar working with Microsoft office applications.
